I would describe this trip in different ways to different people:

* an inner journey
* a natural history trip
* a journey into the heart of the Inca people
* an archaeology study with an extra bonus of being able to feel the energies and test the theories
* a trip of a lifetime
* a personal challenge.

I loved your gentle way of going about the journey. You are to be commended and blessed for such a concept and such a journey.

I suspect that only time will tell all the additions that have enhanced my spiritual journey but I know how powerful the hints and helps for 'keeping on' on the trail turned out to be. Connecting with the sun and grounding with springs through my feet and receiving the power of each plant I touched along the way certainly pulled me over the rough spots and kept me connected with all that is.

The inclusion of Puma and Humberto in our travelling family, and the meeting of the families and porters is a tremendous highlight. Getting to know these gentle people makes me ache a bit for our own native ones whose self-respect was robbed while these are seeming to keep their happy ways and values. Hearing the parables from Puma gives a certain insight into their deep cultural values.

"Thank you" seems not enough.

This trip has done exactly what I desired and more. I had felt spiritually empty. NO matter what I tried I felt empty. This trip filled me up spiritually and I believe broadened my spirit. The beauty of the trail is not describable. It touches your soul, it shines into your soul. You feel one with the universe and understand why you're alive.

Travelling at my own pace was exceptionally important. I was able to walk alone which was wonderful. The second day was wonderful because I was able to leave the trail, be alone and later share my experiences with the group.

Seeing the local people and experiencing their culture has broadened my own eyes and allowed me to step back and see that there are other ways to live. Getting to know Puma has reminded me what is important. Integrity. Kindness. Love.

Thank you to both of you. This has been a very important experience for me. I came on this trip because of you two. My gut was right. I am so thankful that I had this opportunity. Now I will seek others.

The Inner Journey practices help me to learn to quiet and to focus. The most valuable for me was the alone 'inner journey' moment when I quieted my mind before entering each ruin., I could 'connect' deeper than when in a group situation. I was surprised to find this out about myself because I love to be involved in group meditations and usually find them quite powerful. I need to practice inner focus--that in itself was a valuable lesson.

I was extremely pleased and surprised at the meals on the trail. There was variety and nutrition even though circumstances were limiting. My favourite was the popcorn upon arrival at our camp, sometimes with hot chocolate. That was perfect touch--as well as the hot towels--delightful idea!

I enjoyed the character and uniqueness and the families in each hotel. The transportation arrangements were a delight, the crazy train zigzagging up/down the mountain and rickety busses added so much flavour to these gentle people. I felt the transportation was well taken care of.

Most info was well received and Chidakash's knowledge of the ruins and culture, and his curiosity was a delight. Shera's deep wisdom and appreciation of nature and spirit was an inspiration to me many times during the journey. To have these passions in leaders adds immensely to the experience.

The creative portion of the journey was the stronger aspect of the journey. I loved every moment!!

The gifts received by me were endless and given daily: the splendor of the wilderness, the flowers the eagles, the sunshine, the sprinkling of rain, the incredible clouds, Puma, Humberto, our delicious meals, all our sharing. I was surprised at how much the people in the group enriched my life and taught me new appreciations. So many people supported me . This journey helped me or encouraged me to develop and express my gift of empowerment and of coming from a place of truth and how valuable and necessary it is to come from one's truth.

In describing this trip to a friend, my first mention would be of the indescribable beauty and abundance of nature. The trek was more physically challenging than I expected and I would give more details about that.

It's a trip that tests all levels of your being and that allows opportunities to grow physically, emotionally, socially, spiritually, and one that allows a new appreciation of other lifestyles and cultures--and on a practical level: it is a learning in resourcefulness.

For me the Trail was much more powerful than Machu Picchu itself. At the top of the first pass I had a great sense of magic and anticipation of a wonderful transformation to occur in the upcoming days--this was not realized for me--I think I was too caught up in the physical to be able to make the leap to the spiritual.

By being in an environment that is so different and so far away from home you are free to focus more sharply and be more open to energy (messages). There were a number of occasions when I was being led by intuition. (I was beginning to notice at home and it was much more apparent here.) I hope this new strength stays with me!

The porters and guides did an outstanding job. The food was great. I always felt safe and cared for.

The journal is a wonderful/important vehicle for recording and reflecting on experience. I did not take sufficient advantage of it.

Highlights: Insights, emotional, physical and spiritual. --Deep sleep at the first campsite by the river; walk along the trail through the valley with views and terraces; --Climb up to the first pass, especially the cloud forest; --Toning at the top of the pass, especially the 2nd ritual; --Walking

through the 'doorway' at the top of the second pass; --Walking down Inca steps through the jungle; --Arrival a Machu Picchu and view from above; --Moonrise through the clouds above the ruins; --Hearing others' descriptions of the energies they experienced in various places; --Deep sleep at Ollantaytambo.

I gained an enormous respect for the Peruvian people. They are extremely hard-working people who care deeply for their families, their land. You introduced us to many of these people on a personal level for which I am truly grateful. Most trips to other countries and cultures allow little or no contact with the people. I especially enjoyed the daily contact with Puma and Humberto, but also to meet Elias and his family on a one-to-one basis was gratifying. Your personal interactions with these people opened the door to easy and comfortable communication [for all of us]. I liked the way the porters were treated as equals--worthy of respect in every way.

I think that [spiritual growth] may be a slow, revealing process. The growth and change has been so subtle on many levels that the acknowledgment will be slow to surface. I do know, however, that my physical achievement was made possible through my reliance upon and contact with all that is. Without the help of Pachamama, the leaves, the plants, the rocks--all things--this journey would not have been accomplished.

Entering into the Inca Empire and experiencing the energies was really incredible, along with the input from Chidakash, Humberto and Puma to make it all come alive.

This was an experience of a lifetime, an opportunity for personal growth and transformation. However it's necessary for a person to have a sense that they want something deeper or more fulfilling, a sense of purpose, something to enhance their life.

The spiritual practices were an excellent idea and well received. We benefitted so much from them. You are both very skilled in this area.

The challenge and experience of hiking the trail was a new world and I know this will affect my life. Going at my own pace was very important. and the 5-6 days seemed ideal. For me the highlight were learning more to go by intuition and let the mysteries unfold; living together especially on the trail; learning to love more and share with each other.

To have an experience that immersed us in the life and spirit of Peru and its people was indeed a wonderful gift. The accommodation, food, and most of all the connection with Puma, Humberto and all the Peruvians we met along the way--the porters, hotel owners--allowed for a deepening of the experience and one never to be fogotten. This immersion was very important to me.

I recommend that you both continue as long as you can in leading these spiritual journeys as they are invaluable--certainly was to me! Thanks from the heart.

I would recommend your program to those who are looking for 'hosts' that are motivated from the heart with a superb knowledge of Peru, its history and its people and who have made a number of journeys and have solved most of the difficulties of those journeys. Fun laughter, tears and warmth.

I have a great deal of admiration and love for you both and your Peru journey of sacred experiences. I recognize that your intent was to genuinely give us the opportunity to experience a beautiful opportunity of consciousness understanding of multidimensionality. Through flexibility and understanding a true harmony of tolerance and understanding prevailed.

This incredible Journey of Loving Light souls was and is to date the greatest most taxing, rewarding and spiritually uplifting experience in this lifetime. My life will never be the same. Thank you for your beautiful efforts and loving ways.

Being an independent soul I appreciated my private time to pursue what was necessary to accomplish my mission. Taking that time, I was refreshed when it was time to unify as a whole, and I appreciated all I learnt from each individual. There was the genuine bonding that has taken place between myself and almost all group members due to the sharing which came from the heart.

Your program of stops which included certain ruins and sacred spots, were progressive 'Light' steps toward Machu Picchu. I personally feel that that certain footstep, that certain touch of that certain rock, that connection to someone's eyes, all contributed to my inner journey and although I cannot define as yet a tangible transformation, I know that it will manifest in its own time.

Because I personally knew I was to be here I did not question [the hardships] but journeyed forward with an open heart and open hands knowing I would receive and give in a way that would be in service to the Light and my Soul evolution. The energy I experienced in each site leading to Machu Picchu was necessary in the overall reason for being directed by Spirit to come. So therefore I would have to conclude that all was perfect.

The journey has been incredibly profound for me. Complex in ways that I never expected and I know I will continue to learn from all that I have experienced. The Inca Trail, even in its most challenging moments, held insights /messages if we allowed ourselves to see them. I am in the process of figuring a lot of things out now.

I did experience a spiritual dimension on the trail and the length of time taken was perfect. Your willingess to share with us, your interpretations, experience, etc., was very helpful and the group discussions helped focus the experience.

I loved being in the small villages and watching everything. This was special to my journey. I don't know if I have sufficiently answered your question but ask me again in a month! and I think I'll have more answers/insights for you. No matter how painful some of the feelings I mught have experienced. I have loved, adored!! my trip and you both have been instrumental in providing me with such an experience. You both have both done on incredible job at making this all happen for us, for me. Thank you.

I found my journal very useful for planning and packing my trip. It was a special part of how you designed the experience. I plan on using it after this touring.

Bringing clothes to families was an amazing experience to witness. Learning new ways of honouring Pachamama.

I feel we were very well taken care of. Leadership was excellent. Your enthusiasm about the trip, experience and all it encompassed was very uplifting. I appreciated the desire to maintain honesty, openness and fun. It has been a wonderful experience.

For someone who had no preconceived ideas about the Inca Trail, the actual physical journey was much harder than I imagined. Having spent most of my life creating or conditioning my body to physical challenges, I enjoyed the sense of accomplishment when we reached Machu Picchu. This sense of 'making it through' was heightened by the fact that I am 45, female, was weakened by menstruation and diarrhea. But by then this trek helped me realize that looking at it that way is conditioning--self-imposed limitations. I did feel different energies through the valleys. From feelings of conflict (within) and de-energizing vibrations at the second ruins to heightened awareness climbing the pass on a little horse. Interestingly we gravitate to the people and energies we need at this time. I learned a great deal from everyone in our group, and feel love and compassion when I look at each one, including our guides and porters.

Each ruin we encountered held its own special mystery to me. Machu Picchu and especially Huayna Picchu is hared for me to describe in words--just a profound spirituality and deep respect for the Inca. Putting it down on paper won't do it for me.

I learned much from the porters, Humberto and the cooks. Their humility, dedication and beauty, their absence of ego was incredible to be around. I felt great love for all of them and their service would be hard to find in our culture. Puma was a joy to be around, and I feel very lucky to have shared his insights.

Shera and Chidakash showed us a trail that ran parallel to the Inca tail. By sharing their experience and insights and encouraging us to do the same, I felt we gained in spiritual growth and humanness that many would miss without that quality of guidance. I also appreciate the independence from the group they allowed. I feel if we had been restrained to constant group activities, we would have missed a lot of independent growth and detachment.

The pace of the trip was perfect, especially considering everyone's different experiences, whether physical, spiritual or emotional. We all had the flexibility to walk and reflect alone or with the group. The group sharing allowed everyone's perspective to shine through.

The journal was a good idea even though I might not writ in it every day. I feel when I'm back home I will add a great deal to it as more filters through.

Thank you and God Bless.

This trip was successful in many ways to me. It reaffirmed my sense of being grounded and heightened my intuitive skills. It was attractive to me because it combined physical challenge with spiritual growth. This trip taught me to love with a bigger heart. I valued the 'open to receiving' ceremony as it made me realize how I receive, and I'd never reflected on that before.
The closing circle was very beautiful--I enjoyed it the most and felt cleared.

The highlight of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu was for me the scenery, the flora and fauna, the peoples and cultures. I felt as if my sense were focussed on all physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels I especially felt a lift as we approached the main pass. I loved feeling Pachanmama, the heartbeat of the Mother throughout the valley, peaks rivers, rocks, plants, animals and all living beings...and being in the Ancient Sacred energies of the Mountains and the Inca and pre-Inca civilizations. The remembering.

Physical strength was given to me through the earth and sun that energized, invigorated, sustained and enabled me to be more fully present in all of my body (and bodies). The Grandmother moon opened me and blessed all. My heart opened and expanded in the ever-growing awareness and experience of unity with all.

I enjoyed walking in a sacred manner, honouring all experiences. I welcomed the blessings, given and received. I took inner journeys into the inner earth and unseen realms. I experienced initiations ancient and sacred. Snake, Condor and Puma. Sun, Moon and Earth. Mountain, river, and sky. Deep Love, Compassion and Service. Pachamama, the Creator and the Light.

I have also enjoyed very much the group energies and camaraderie. As we share and learn together it has sparked my curiosity for the time and history of the Incas and I hope to study and research the history when I return home I would like to come back and I feel as we have been blessed with this experience, sharing and making many new friends.

The Trail experience enhanced the experience of Machu Picchu because my energies were centered and my senses were very aware. I could have used 2 more days there, but it only means I have to come back again. It will take time to ingest the communication I received and to translate it for myself. The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is invaluable, the only way to do it. A sensitivity and inner awareness to detail and energy was honed throughout the Inca Trail experience. Understanding and feeling the land that that the Incas lived in, and their deep gratitude, honouring and reverence for all of creation and their coexistence, co-creation of that life.

I have a deep appreciation for slowing down, accessing hidden wisdom, activating memory. Walking the path travelled over the ages.

The service and care of the porters and guides was great and I felt supported and cared for. There were very kind and understanding and were paying attention to how we were feeling. I felt my night bag was very safe and it was always picked up and delivered. They were all very sweet, kind and gentle. Good food, tents always set in good sites.

I always knew everything was being handled. It never entered my mind to worry or be concerned about any aspect of the trip. Good timing and planning.

Our pace and the flexibility of our trip was great. I appreciated the flexibility in allowing me to participate or not depending on what was appropriate. The journal was a wonderful idea. It has been great. Great help and very personal.

Extremely effective. All that I'd hoped for, and more. Lots of surprises and openings. Thank you.

I experienced a progressive evolution from the physical to the Spiritual and I noticed that many others did too. It seemed as if we need to get in touch with our bodies and release all the beliefs needs and habits that keep us bound to that part of us that takes so much of our time and energy.

When I let go of my needs for cleanliness, comfort, favourite foods, make-up, clean clothing etc., and knew that these things did not constitute the real me I could be gentler with myself. I was also still accepted by others as the person I am.

I was amazed at the inner strength I had to keep going when challenges came. The dream was bigger than the physical exertion. I watched others face their dragons too as we climbed higher and higher. I saw the unique strengths of each individual and their willingness to give of themselves to assist others.

There was a lot of love from everyone When I first encountered a ruin I tended to use my logical mind to figure out what it was all about. I loved the fact that I knew very little about each place we visited and the sensitivity of our facilitators not to TELL us all about them. Because of this I learned to use that wonderful knower inside me. I had many many many magnificent experiences and profound feelings doing this. I also feel that I have discovered in a greater way than I had before I came, and this aspect of me.

Shera, thank you for being you, loving, nurturing the group, your organization. You also inspire me, doing this trek twice a year. I don't know if words can describe what a gift this trip had been to me. A gift from your heart and that is the greatest gift of all!

Chidakash, thank you for your knowledge, tips, big smile, translations and your big heart to allow my journey to a most beautiful land and people. You two manifest very well. These journeys are priceless and I will definitely let my friends know how beautifully and smoothly ours went.

I have enjoyed all of it: seeing all the small villages, all the different people and how real they are. I suppose it is not for everyone but I am the type who wants to go into people's homes, interact with them--and NOT do the tourist thing.

Loved every place we stayed, each being unique and having its own flavour--complained a little of the tp and water situation in Cusco, but all we had to do was ask! I loved all the hoopla and colour of the street market and restaurant. I loved people watching and observing the wonderful warm people, the children especially.

I have definitely felt at home here in Peru. I can't put it into words perhaps, but I have a sense that I have been here before--I loved the children, the old people, the terrain, the simplicity of life. I didn't get a sense of stress or hunger for things they don't have.

I have fallen in love with the Peruvian people: their simpleness of life, their friendliness, their openness, their sense of family, their hard work, allowing me to view my "problems" in a different light. The porters we had were wonderful: their sense of fun, their big smiles, welcoming us into their hearts. The fabulous guides--you two sure know how to manifest.

I realize this tour on the Inca trail was much more than most people experience.
I was disappointed to see such trash and disrespect to the t rail. Which I looked at as a spiritual path. How can people be so disrespectful.
I also had a huge spiritual experience at one of the sites.
The guides who were with us were all very tuned in and aware of everyone on the trail in our group.
It was comforting to known I was taken care of in a manner other than the physical plane.

Cathy and I have talked almost nonstop about our journey since arriving home. We can tell by the reaction from our family and friends that this was not your ordinary trip!! As we relay the stories of both the Inca Trail and the Sacred Valley we are reliving the adventures and challenges and laughing all the way. The diversity and heart and spirit of this Peru trip made it possible for me to truly experience the people, the land and the spirit of Peru.
I was on a ‘tour’ last year. I saw many ruins, including Machu Picchu but never really felt I had been to Peru. Watching a video and tasting a different dinner would have been the same.
On walking the Inca Trail I learned I can do the impossible,
My heart and spirit will travel freely again and again to this beautiful country and its people
Yes! What an experience this trip to Peru was. I really felt I had experienced the country on a very deep level in many ways: meeting Puma's family and seeing them first hand in their element; the spiritual with the places we went and with Puma and the sound shaman. Wow.

Then, of course, there was the Inca trail walk. Every day I think about it and wonder just how I did that. Except that I'm convinced that 'I' didn't make that trip. I had help from so many dimensions. I'm still processing it all.
For me, this trip was the most perfect trip that I could imagine. For me it all worked.
In hindsite as I look back on the entire trip I see the magical and mystical things that happened all along the way, even leading up to the trip.
I know that on some level I am a changed woman. My outlook on life is stronger, more positive and more focused.

I am very grateful to both of you for creating the perfect trip.
